• ER

When the difference between life and death rests on split-second decisions, only one thing matters - the power and passion of the dedicated medical professionals in the ER.  This multiple award winning drama series was inspired by creator Michael Crichton's experiences as a medical student in a hospital emergency room. ER quickly became one of the most compelling hit shows of our time, each episode a whirlwind of intense and involving drama, gritty realism, and offbeat humour.

A winner of the prestigious George Foster Peabody Award, the series has also earned 22 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series in 1996, and 117 Emmy Award nominations -- holding the record for television dramas and tying with "Cheers" as the all-time leading nominee in any genre. In addition, the cast has been honoured with four Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Ensemble Performance in a Drama Series.
ER follows the medical personnel and patients in the emergency room of Chicago's fictional County General Hospital in a series that, after fourteen seasons is still one of television's highest-rated dramas, and is responsible for introducing to our homes such stars as Noah Wyle, Anthony Edwards, Eric LaSalle and George Clooney.

The doctors and nurses of County's ER confront the daily challenges of a busy urban hospital, including overcrowded waiting rooms, staffing shortages, and the impact of life-and-death decisions. While they teach the next generation of doctors, each must overcome the demands of their work lives and personal lives to save a life in crisis.
